Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: - Is SIDISTAR® a reinforcing filler?
A: - No, - SIDISTAR® is an additive, modifying the viscosity of a compound. It cannot replace the reinforcing materials, but works alongside these materials, without influencing the physical properties of the final compound.
Q: - Do you need to add additional Silane when using SIDISTAR®?
A: - There is no need for using additional Silane, since reactivity of SIDISTAR® to Silanes is very low; addition of these materials will not have an effect on the performance of SIDISTAR®.
Q: - How does SIDISTAR® handle in production?
A: - SIDISTAR® is supplied in a densified form, so the free- flowing properties of the material are ensured. This is based on a physical process; there are no chemicals involved to achieve the effect. The agglomerates can easily be dispersed during the mixing stage.
Q: - How much SIDISTAR® do I have to add?
A: - The ratio between the reinforcing filler and SIDISTAR has to be adjusted for every formulation to optimise the balance between processing and physical properties of the final rubber article
Q: - Where do I go for ordering?
A: - orders@sidistar.com
